The Aftermath Dislocation Principle (ADP) is a trilogy of artworks by Jimmy Cauty on a nationwide tour across the UK.

Each artwork is a 1:87 scale model housed in a shipping container.

The models are viewed through observation ports in the sides of the containers.

ADP 1 is a 40ft container that houses a vast post-apocalyptic landscape populated only by the police and media crews. The landscape is set somewhere in Bedfordshire and is known as 'Old Bedford'.

ADP 2 is a 10ft container that houses the building site of a towering monolithic construction known as 'New Bedford Rising'

ADP 3 is a 6ft container that houses 'The Bridge' that links ADP 1 to ADP 2

AS OF 16TH JUNE THE ADP RIOT TOUR HAS BEEN AWARDED £49,000 BY THE ARTS COUNCIL OF ENGLAND IN SUPPORT OF WHAT THEY'VE DESCRIBED AS AN OUTSTANDING PROJECT.

So, as predicted we are now FUNDED BY THE STATE FOR THE STATE or FUNDED BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE or maybe WASTING TAX PAYERS MONEY AT 36 HISTORIC RIOT SITES AROUND THE COUNTRY, or even: PROVIDING AN OUTSTANDING and CRITICALLY ENGAGING ARTWORK FOR FREE TO A DIVERSE RANGE OF COMMUNITIES ON A NATIONWIDE SCALE...

YOU CAN BE THE JUDGE

On a practical level, the Arts Council money makes the realisation of the complete tour more secure. BUT we cannot rest on laurels. £49K was the most we could ask for without the application becoming too complicated. According to our budget plans we still need to raise another £50K (at least) over the next 6 months to keep the ball rolling.

SO please continue with your fantastic support and buy what you can to help keep the ADP containers on the move.

If you would like to support the tour please go to the ADP EDITIONS SHOP.
